I’m a Queens-based editor who has been putting images in their place since 2011.
I love the emotional immediacy of film. More than telling a story, I feel a strong film should create a world for the audience to be absorbed into. Melding the intimate with the epic, the personal with the political, and the dreamy with the verite, I’ve edited films that have won awards at Sundance, Cannes, and HotDocs. My most recent feature film was the Emmy nominated documentary, The Body Politic, which premiered on PBS POV. Other works include 12 O'Clock Boys, which is featured on Paste Magazine's 100 Best Documentaries of All Time, Ghosts of Sugar Land, an Oscar-shortlisted and Cinema Eye Honors winner, and Karen Dalton: In My Own Time, executive produced by Wim Wenders. I’m the proud parent of two extremely successful cats and I use whatever money I make editing on my destructive vinyl records addiction. If you spend any amount of time with me on a project, I will go on and on about the virtues of beans and for that I do apologize in advance.
